About this dataset

Public macroeconomic and financial series for Malaysia from DOSM and BNM: GDP, CPI, unemployment, the overnight policy rate, household debt, loan and deposit growth for the banking system, house price index, industrial production and the ringgit exchange rate, with release dates for point-in-time use. Used as covariates in forecasting, IFRS 9 and stress-testing models.

Usage rights

Open to all staff. Public data; cite DOSM or BNM as the source in external material. Use the as-at release date column for back-tests to avoid look-ahead.

Lineage

Pulled monthly from the DOSM open data portal and BNM statistical releases through the platform's public data connector, stored with vintage and release date. Dataplex checks for missing releases against the published calendar.
