About this model
Finds the paragraphs in BNM policy documents and the Bank's own policies that are relevant to a question or a draft procedure, and returns them with document, section and effective date. Built for compliance and policy teams doing gap analysis when a new policy document is issued.
Intended use
Compliance gap analysis, policy drafting and audit preparation by Compliance, Group Risk and policy owners. Retrieves and cites; interpretation stays with Compliance and Legal.
Training data lineage
Lumen Risk Labs' retrieval model (domain-tuned embedding plus a re-ranker), licensed and deployed in the Bank's Vertex AI project over policy-procedure-corpus, which includes the public BNM policy documents the Bank tracks. Short answers generated with Gemini 2.5 Flash on Vertex AI. Index refreshed weekly, in the Malaysia region.
Limitations & bias notes
Covers documents in the corpus only; FAQs, letters to industry and consultation papers are partly indexed. Superseded documents are kept and labelled, so check the effective date on every result. Tables inside PDFs are retrieved as text and can lose structure.
