About this model
Drafts the executive summary of an SME or commercial credit memo from the application, financials and RM notes: borrower profile, facility request, key financial ratios, risks and mitigants, covenants and the recommendation. Every figure in the summary links back to its source line so the credit officer can check it.
Intended use
Saving relationship managers and credit officers time on credit paper preparation. The summary is a draft: the credit officer edits and owns the final memo, and the credit decision stays with the approving authority.
Training data lineage
Not fine-tuned. Gemini 2.5 Flash on Vertex AI with a structured prompt and retrieval over the application file. Evaluated on 150 past memos from loan-applications-history and sme-portfolio-mart, graded by senior credit officers for factual accuracy and completeness. Prompt and evaluation set are versioned in Vertex AI.
Limitations & bias notes
Financial ratios are copied, not recalculated; errors in the source spreadsheet carry through. Long group structures with many related parties are summarised at a high level only. Not validated for project finance or syndicated deals.
