Entitlements and access expiry
An entitlement is permission for a named user, business unit or application to use a specific asset, for a stated purpose, until a date.

What an entitlement holds
- Who: a named person, a business unit, or an application's service account.
- What: one asset, at its current classification.
- Why: the purpose you stated. Customer data may be used only for that purpose.
- Until when: 3, 6 or 12 months. Conditions may attach, such as synthetic data first or aggregated output only.
When it expires
You are reminded 30 days before expiry. Renewing asks you to confirm the purpose still holds. If it lapses, calls return 403 and every service account scope for that asset stops working at the same moment.
Movers and leavers
When someone leaves or changes department, their personal entitlements are revoked with the account. Application entitlements stay with the application.
